10th International Summer School of Media Law ended up on 25  July, this year brought together 23 participants fromKazakhstan, Moldova, Georgia, Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.

Withinthree weeks of Summer School participants studied matters of television andradio broadcasting regulation, protection of privacy and freedom of expression,legal approximation to EU law, access to information, protection of personal data, regulationdissemination of information on the Internet, copyright protection and manyothers.

When offering this curriculum, emphasis was made on international standards in thefield of media law and the applicability of international experience in therealities of the countries whose representatives were members of the School.Lectures for School participants were delivered by experts from Ukraine, Slovenia, Canada,and the Netherlands.

On the last day, participanting lawyers were asked to test their knowledge at the Moot Court competition.

Summer School was made possible by the support of the Council of Europe project”Implementation of European Standards in the Ukrainian MediaEnvironment” funded by the Canadian government.

It was made possible through the support of the OSCE Project Coordinator inUkraine with the financial support of the Government of Canada.

InternationalSummer School of Media Law held within the project “Promotion of humanrights and democracy and strengthening civil society and media in Azerbaijan,Ukraine and Belarus” international organization “International MediaSupport” supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Norway.
