An online course on access from CEDEM experts has started

How to prepare queries and access public information – from now on, you can learn from this free on-line course ‘Access to Public Information: A to Z’. It was established by the experts from the Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law Vita Volodovska, Tetiana Oleksiyuk and Ihor Rozkladay. The course was created with the support of the Council of Europe project ‘Strengthening Freedom of Media and Establishing a Public Broadcasting System in Ukraine’ in cooperation with the authorized representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Human Rights.

The course of lectures is published on Prometheus web platform with free access. Among their topics is a general overview of the Law ‘On Access to Public Information’, the procedure for filing requests, access regimes for information, appeals against violations, etc. No time frame has a course, and all the materials are available on a permanent basis.

According to the Prometheus web platform, 2000 students have already registered for the course. By the end of the year, the number of participants could reach 10,000 persons.
