On the third of July, 2013 the Draft of Law on Public Television andRadio Broadcasting of Ukraine No 1076 as of 12, December, 2012, filled byCabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, passed the first reading. The alternativeDraft of Law on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the system of PublicTelevision and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine” No. 1076-1 had been withdrawn.

Draft No 1076 was developed to realize the Concept of establishing andactivity of National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine, approvedby Public Humanities Council under President of Ukraine as of 30, September,2010.

Among the main developments that are introduced by this Draft of Law itis possible to highlight: establishment of legal person of public law “NationalPublic Television and Radio Company of Ukraine”, introduction amendments tofive Laws of Ukraine and recognition the Law of Ukraine “On the PublicTelevision and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine” as such that lost its force.
