Media Law Institute composes a team of students from NaUKMAfor participation in Media Law International Competition “The MonroeE. Price International Media Law Moot Court Competition” that is held annually in Oxford University amongstudents from all over the world.
To become a participant of competition you need tosend your CV and motivation letter, made in English, at oxford@medialaw.kiev.uatill 15, October, 2013. The teamwill be formed according to the results of selection. It will present Ukraineand NaUKMA in international round of competition, which final will be held on1-4, April, 2014 in Oxford. Results of selections will be announced on the 22ndof October, 2013. Students’ coach is going to be NaUKMA’s graduate andparticipant of the first Ukrainian team that took part in this competition –Viktoria Dobrynska.
“The Monroe E. Price International Media Law Moot CourtCompetition” iscreated in 2008 by the Program of comparative Media Law and Center of social-legalstudios – departments of Oxford’s Law Faculty in cooperation with InternationalAssociation of Media Lawyers (IMLA). The aim of the competition is to increaseinterest to the sphere of Media Law from the side of students-lawyers as wellas from the side of representatives of other specialties.
According to the rules of Oxford competition, its participantscan be students of any specialty that have enough of knowledge in the sphere ofstandards of freedom of expression and mass-media, entered to the university orsimilar institution of the university level and in case the student did nottake part in this competition before.
