Media Law Institute became a member of FOIAnet

Media Law Institute joined the international network of freedom of information advocates FOIAnet (The Freedom of Information Advocates Network). FOIAnet incorporates over 200 organizations and 600 individual members from Europe, North, South and Central America, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Oceania. Among them there are such well-known defenders as an international organization Article 19, Open Society Justice Initiative, Transparency International, Centre for Law and Democracy, IREX, Media Legal Defense Initiative and others.

The Freedom of Information Advocates Network initiated the implementation of international law to Know Day (28 September). Member Organizations of FOIAnet network – representatives of civil society with active programs of promotion and strengthening the right to know. Media Law Institute shares the position of the network: everyone has the right to question the government that they have chosen, get answers from it and know its activity.
