Media Law Institute expresses solidarity with journalists of the Frenchmagazine Charlie Hebdo that suffered from aggression of radicalIslamists. We sympathize with magazine’s team and victim’s families.
Yesterday, January 7, twelve people died because of armed attack againstthe French weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo. Publication of Muslim leaders’ cartoons became the reason of theirdeath.
This dreadful attack is not only a tragedyfor this magazine and for France. It also threatens freedom of expression inthe whole world. Media Law Institute defends freedom of expression as afundamental human right and a guarantee of democracy at any country throughoutits existence. We strongly condemn Muslim extremists’ actions and expresssupport to French colleagues these troublous times.
