Anna Isichko

Anna is a legal and project management professional with over 20 years of experience in private and international law, gained in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and civil society sector. 

She manages projects funded by international and national partners and donors, coordinates advocacy campaigns aimed at improving Ukrainian legislation, organizes and oversees awareness raising campaigns. Anna maintains dialogue and communication and cooperation with governmental authorities, local self-government bodies, as well as national and international partners.

Anna is the author and co-author of a range of research papers, policies and analytic documents  both in the area of national and European legislation and in the field of  civil society development, as well as of research methodologies in the fields of law and civil society development.

Since 2021, she has been coordinating advocacy campaigns aimed at preventing and mitigating the negative unintended consequences of the implementation of legislation on preventing and countering the legalization (laundering) of criminal proceeds, the financing of terrorism, and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. She is an expert at the Global Expert Hub, a platform uniting specialists in anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CFT) from over 45 countries worldwide. Anna is also the coordinator of a coalition of Ukrainian CSOs – enthusiasts in the field of financial monitoring. 

By profession, she is an international lawyer (Institute of International Relations, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, 2004); holds an LL.M. in European Union Law (University of Essex, UK, 2009). She continuously advances her professional qualifications through participation in national and international development programs.
