Possibilities for civic oversight and control over the governance mechanisms, and effective anticorruption instruments in the sphere of public policy were discussed at the training organised within the framework of Lab of Active Citizens.

Representatives of civic organisations «YOUTH LEAGUE» and «MAIDAN OVRUCH» initiated the training. They are also the participants of the Lab’s Modules held in February and April 2016 in Zhytomyr.  

The trainer of the event, expert of Lab of Active Citizens, Sergiy Yatsyk told activists about methods to control the authority, how monitor the assets of officials, and how to prevent the theft of public funds. In addition, he explained how to work with open state and public registries.

Around 20 activists participated in the training. During the training session, the participants held active discussions, shared their experience and expertise and discussed the implementation processes in practice.

The participants thanked the organizers (Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law) and trainers of the Lab for valuable knowledge and practical advice.
