CEDEM brings volunteers together for a seminar “Legal aspects of volunteering”

On the last day of June, the Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law gathered more than 60 volunteers from different regions of Ukraine for the seminar “Legal Aspects of Volunteering”.

They talked about the registration of NGOs that engage volunteers and engage in humanitarian activities, the specifics of youth volunteering and the national volunteer platform, challenges for foreign volunteers and the functioning of the volunteer register. They shared information about the legislative initiatives aimed at the development of volunteering in Ukraine.

We want to thank our speakers: Maryna Popatenko (Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine), Oleksandr Sanchenko, Oksana Sulima (Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine), Hanna Demydenko (Ministry of Veterans Affairs), Viacheslav Khardikov (Ministry of Justice of Ukraine), Rostyslav Kis (Caritas Ukraine International Charitable Foundation), Yarko Bulyshyn (Plast – Ukrainian Scouting).

The event was held as part of the Summit of Volunteer and Humanitarian Initiatives.
