Civic and Media Community Call on the Parliament to Adopt the Bill on Privatization of Print Media in Ukraine

For Tuesday, November 3, Ukrainian Parliament got on its agenda the draft law On the Reform of State and Municipal Print Media, which aims to stop spending of budget funds for the PR of local and central authorities, to introduce fair competition on the media market and provide impetus to the development of print media in Ukraine. MP Victoria Siumar, Chairperson of the Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information Policy, and Director of the Media Law Institute Taras Shevchenko briefed to the press for support of the bill and substantiated its relevancy.
