From 23 to 25 June 2020, the first training block of the Second Module of the Mentorship Program was held to strengthen the advocacy capabilities of civil society organizations from different parts of Ukraine. During three days, 15 mentee organizations underwent online training, lectured by experienced civil society experts.
THE FIRST TRAINING BLOCK FOCUSED ON THE BELOW TOPICS:
- Policies, procedures and architecture of governance bodies in NGOs: What the team may need and why as well as practical insights for growth
- Public promotion of an NGO Rules, mistakes, tricks
- Involvement of people in the organization and in teams
Speakers for this part of the training were Tetiana Semiletko, an expert in results-oriented management, Oleksandr Ravchev, a communication trainer, and Nataliia Seliukova, an expert in communication and public relations.
Participants of the training program were able to look at their organizations through the lens of organizational development and understand what and how should be introduced in their organizations in the first place, and most importantly, why. Next up for them is second training block focused on developing the advocacy capacity of organizations.
The Mentorship Program is implemented by the Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law (CEDEM) within the Ukraine Civil Society Sectoral Support Activity, which is implemented in cooperation with the Consortium of the Initiative Center to Support Social Action “Ednannia” and Ukrainian Center for Independent Political Research (UCIPR) with the sincere support of the American people through United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
