Publick discussions of the action plan for the National strategy for a barrier-free environment ended

The public discussions of the Action Plan for the National Strategy for a Barrier-Free Environment have ended. More than 300 government officials, experts, NGOs and activists joined the three-day discussion. Currently, the finalization of the draft Action Plan for the implementation of the National Strategy is underway, the team is processing the submitted proposals and comments.

During the third session, participants discussed the information and digital aspects of barrier-free environment. Iryna Tekuchova and Vitalii Pcholkin, respectively, became the experts in this area. The participants made the following suggestions:

  • Develop legislation in the field of digital services;
  • Monitor all websites of public authorities for information accessibility;
  • Shift to electronic document management;
  • Introduce contrasting visual products;
  • Unify terminology for audiovisual content.
