The Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law promotes media and information literacy. In cooperation with the National Media Literacy Project “Filter,” UNESCO, and with the support of Japan, CEDEM is implementing the project “Media and Information Literacy in Wartime: Building Information Resilience,” which aims to strengthen the information resilience of citizens, raise awareness of information threats, and provide practical skills in analyzing media content and using modern information technologies in everyday life.
In addition, CEDEM experts research disinformation in gaming environments, the impact of Russian narratives in various countries, and regularly conduct training on countering disinformation and enhancing media literacy.
In January 2024, CEDEM launched the “Telegram Detox” campaign to draw attention to the dangers associated with using this platform. The campaign aims to protect Ukrainians from the threats of Telegram and create a safe space for communication and information.
