Media education is an important part of CEDEM’s activities since its establishment. Media law education courses for journalists, students, professors, active citizens, student competitions and other activities are held on a regular basis.

The courses take place on a distance learning platform and are free of charge. CEDEM offers distance learning courses in: “Media Law”, “Access to Information”, “Courts and the Media”, “Copyright”.
CEDEM experts regularly hold trainings for journalists, journalism professors and other audiences. Training topics include, inter alia copyright, protection of journalists, novelties in the media legislation, election coverage, etc.
In addition, CEDEM, in partnership with the University of Oxford and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, holds a regional round of Price Media Law Moot Court Competition for the countries of Northeastern Europe. Competitions in Ukraine are qualifying for the international round, which is held every spring at the University of Oxford.
