Media law

Since its establishment in 2006, CEDEM has specialized in media law. Our experts develop and advocate draft laws that promote the positive development of media in Ukraine. We also monitor other legislative activities of the authorities and oppose the adoption of laws that adversely affect the media, restrict freedom of expression and violate the rights of journalists.

Experts regularly prepare and publish analytics on current media topics, as well as collections, guides, and other publications that can be found in the library on this website.

The Centre for Democracy and the Rule of Law provides free legal advice in the fields of information and media law. We will be glad to share our experience with everyone. In particular, please contact us about the legal regulation of the activities of journalists and the media.

To get the information you are interested in, contact us via the hotline: write an email to hotline@medialaw.kiev.ua, or call: (044) 383 20 44 from 10am to 6pm on weekdays. Please provide your name and surname, and if you represent an organization, its name as well.
